SaaS MVP Development — idea to shipped product in weeks

I build SaaS MVPs that are real products, not prototypes — authentication, billing, a working core feature, and an admin view, deployed and taking users. Most launch in three to six weeks. The goal is not a demo you show investors; it is a product you can charge for and learn from.

Where teams get stuck

Agencies quote 4 months and $40k

Traditional agencies staff a project manager, a designer, two developers and a QA lead onto work that one senior engineer can do faster. You pay for the coordination overhead, not the code.

No-code hit its ceiling

Bubble and Airtable get you to a first version, then break the moment you need real auth, custom billing logic, or an API. Rebuilding later costs more than building properly now.

You are burning runway on scoping

Every week spent in specification documents is a week not spent talking to users. I scope in one call and start building the same week.

What you get

  • Authentication and user accounts (email, OAuth, magic links)
  • Subscription billing with Stripe — plans, trials, upgrades, webhooks
  • The core product feature, built properly rather than faked
  • Admin dashboard so you can see and manage what users are doing
  • Responsive UI that works on mobile from day one
  • Deployed on your infrastructure with CI, environment config, and error tracking
  • Clean, documented, handover-ready codebase you fully own

How it works

  1. 01

    Scoping call

One call to define what the MVP must do and — more importantly — what it must not do. You get a fixed scope and fixed price the same day.

  2. 02

    Week 1: foundation

Auth, database schema, deployment pipeline, and the app shell go live. You get a working URL on day five, not week five.

  3. 03

    Weeks 2-4: core product

The feature that makes your product worth paying for. You see progress in a staging environment continuously and can redirect at any point.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover

Billing switched on, monitoring in place, code and docs handed over. Two weeks of bug fixes included after launch.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SaaS MVP development cost?

Most MVPs land between $4,000 and $12,000 depending on scope. I quote a fixed price after a single scoping call so there are no hourly surprises. Smaller micro-SaaS builds can come in under $4,000.

How long does it take to build a SaaS MVP?

Three to six weeks for a typical MVP with authentication, billing, and one core feature. You get a working staging URL within the first week and can watch it develop from there.

What tech stack do you build on?

Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend, Node.js or FastAPI on the backend, PostgreSQL for data, Stripe for billing, deployed on Vercel, Google Cloud, or your own infrastructure. All standard, well-documented tools — so any developer can take over later.

Do I own the code?

Completely. The repository is yours from the first commit, hosted in your organisation. There is no license, no retainer requirement, and no lock-in to me.

What happens after the MVP launches?

Two weeks of bug fixes are included. After that you can bring me back for feature work on a monthly basis, hand it to an in-house team, or run it yourself — the codebase is written to be handed over.
